Always a fan of disused tube stations and tunnels so was intrigued to find out about one of those being used for something a bit different. A short walk away from Clapham High Street and sandwiched between the Vera the Diva Ballroom dance studio and one of the numerous Barbers and 100 feet down is the world's first underground farm.

It just looked like a lock up from Eastenders/Minder but behind the door was the world's first underground farm. I saw an article in Timeout about an evening guided tour and being only 20 mins away from work, perfect for a low-cost late afternoon adventure. A group of 20 or so people from all walks of life waited for the customary but essential safety briefing before decending 30 metres or so ... Underground. We were assured that this farm however did not have goats, pig or any chickens and all produce would be of a non-animal variety.
