I've many different preferences when it comes to a bit of a wander, and often involve underground or places which do not appeal to most so when I found out about visiting a victorian sewage works it was too good an option to miss out on. This though is no ordinary venue as you will see.

With the added bonus of a free train ride from the Car Park to the entrance

The outside of the building cleverly conceals what lies beyond the front door

A first glance it looks like any other semi-abandoned old building but once inside it's a real treasure trove of toilet history

The key player here being this chap who as a result of the Great Stink of 1858 had his futuristic toilet vision granted

The inner circle of the building is stunning, there afre four steam engines , only one in use once a month currently but when it's fired up the whole building shakes

The small museum is also well worth wandering round. A good localish visit.
